FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
“Fridays with AZ Phil” concert series debuts with tangos at the Elks PAC on September 20 at 5:00 PM
Following the success of their second season opener “American Sources” on August 25, Prescott’s own Arizona Philharmonic announces the debut of the “Fridays with AZ Phil” series at the Elks Performing Arts Center.
Trio Fuego opens the “Fridays with AZ Phil” series this year on Friday September 20 at 5:00 PM with tangos and tapas! Three of Arizona Philharmonic’s principal string players, Sarah Walder, Glenn Stallcop, and Kimberly Sullivan, join forces to take the audience on a musical tour of Latin America from milonga to tango and more. The unique trio combination of viola, cello, and contrabass offers a deeper rich tone than typically heard in string ensembles. Enjoy their fun music and banter on top of the Elks Performing Arts Center overlooking downtown Prescott! Tickets are available at azphil.org/tickets. For information phone (855) 321-6724.
“Fridays with AZ Phil” concerts are limited seating, intimate chamber concerts presented on the third floor of the Elks Performing Arts Center. Seats are sold in groups of four (an entire table), in pairs, or singly. ADA compliant table seating is available. Please arrive at 5:00 PM, grab some food, and purchase a beverage, wine, or beer to enjoy. There is time to chat before, in between, and after the musical sets. Entry is through the door to the left of the Elks Theater box office.
The “Fridays with AZ Phil” series continues on Nov. 1 with Chris and Lena Jacome, flamenco guitar and dancing; February 28, 2020 with the Elden Brass Quintet; and May 1, 2020 with Duo Catalina. All concerts are on Fridays at 5:00 PM.
